How to spend a rainy day inside
Oh, it’s raining! Luckily we have some tips on how to spend a rainy day inside. This blog post contains some pointers on how to avoid boredom when time passes slowly and you have nothing to do. Sure, you could spend the day staring out the window, enjoying the slow fall of the first autumn leaves, but wouldn’t you rather eat a delicious chocolate cake or binge-watch an amazing series on Netflix? We thought as much.
Why don’t you take care of your rubber boots?
If your rubber boots look great, you have been taking good care of them. If not, now is the time to do something. To remove scuff marks, put a few drops of oil (we love olive oil!) on a soft cloth and buff out the marks. Another method for removing scuff marks is to gently erase them with an art gum eraser. Always store rubber boots away from direct sunlight. Wad pieces of newspaper into balls and stuff them in the boots to help them hold their shape.
What to binge? We’ll tell you
With so many shows to choose from, this is a classic issue. We’ve heard that the most popular way to spend a rainy day is to binge a new show on Netflix. Try Sex Education, the series’ third season has just landed and without spoiling anything: It’s a good one. Good Girls is also worth watching and if spook and horror is more your thing, You season 3 and Midnight Mass is coming this fall. If you’d rather enjoy some movies we recommend Afterlife of the Party. It’s fun and light, but also makes you think about your life and relationships.

Read a book from start to finish
We have a lot of English language books, but also books in other languages. Have you ever read a whole book in a day? It sounds like a good plan, but if you are not much of a reader don’t worry, just read what you can. In a study conducted by the University of Sussex, individuals who had read for merely six minutes exhibited slower heart rates, less muscle tension, and reduced stress levels. Yes, only six minutes!
Do you know how to make a cake from a jar of Nutella?
You need 4 eggs and 240 g of Nutella. Preheat your oven to 180 and line a round springform with baking paper and set aside. Place eggs into a mixing bowl and beat until the mixture triples in volume. Spoon Nutella into a medium glass bowl and microwave for 15-20 seconds until it is soft. Spoon one-third of the egg mixture and fold using a metal spoon to mix in Nutella until entirely combined. Continue with another third of the egg mixture, and then again until all the egg and Nutella are combined.
Spoon mixture into cake pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a skewer placed into the center comes out clean. Cool cake entirely, before removing from pan. Slice and serve with ice cream of your choice. We love the version made of oat milk and real vanilla!
How to make some money from your sofa?
The best way to spend a rainy day is to earn cash from the comfort of your own home. Take the clothes you never use, make sure they’re clean, and grab your phone. It’s time to have a little photoshoot. Snap a mirror selfie wearing an item or use a hanger to get a good photo or two. Upload those photos to the Zadaa app, set a price, and select the delivery method that suits you best; shipping or meeting face to face. We’ll find a buyer for your old clothes, all you need to focus on is that chocolate cake. Pretty good deal, right?
