How to spend a rainy day inside

Oh, it’s raining! Luckily we have some tips on how to spend a rainy day inside. This blog post contains some pointers on how to avoid boredom, when time is running slowly and you have nothing to do inside. Sure, you could also spend the day staring out the window, enjoying the slow fall of the first autumn leaves… but wouldn’t you rather eat a delicious chocolate cake or binge-watch an amazing series on Netflix? That’s right. We’ll give the best tips to you!

Why don’t you take care of your rain boots

If your rain boots look great you have been taking good care of them. If not, now it’s time to do something. To remove scuff marks, put a few drops of oil (we love olive oil!) on a soft cloth and buff out the marks. Another method for removing scuff marks is to gently erase them with an art gum eraser. Always store rubber boots away from direct sunlight. Wad pieces of newspaper into balls and stuff them in the boots to help them hold their shape.

What TV series to watch? We’ll tell you!

This is a classic. We’ve heard that the most popular way to spend a rainy day is to enjoy some Netflix. And chill, of course. But what to watch? Try Sex Education! Season 3 is coming this September. Good Girls is also worth watching. If you’d rather enjoy some movies, we recommend seeing Afterlife of the Party. It’s fun and light, but also makes you think about your life and relationships.

Shop rain coats and rubber boots to get outside when the next rainy day hits

Look at this collage we made! Who said you can’t be stylish when it rains? Tell her to download Zadaa and explore our rubber boots with 10cm heels, PVC look-a-like rain trench coats and other fashion pieces. Look for brands like Hunter for cool rain boots or Rains for jackets and waterproof accessories.

Read a book from start to finish

We have a lot of English language books, but also books in other languages. Have you ever read a whole book in a day? It sound like a good plan, but if you are not much of a reader don’t worry, just read what you can. In a study conducted by the University of Sussex, individuals who had read for merely six minutes exhibited slower heart rates, less muscle tension, and reduced stress levels. Yes, only six minutes!

Do you know how to make a cake from a jar of Nutella?

You need 4 eggs and 240 g of Nutella. Preheat your oven to 180C and line a 20cm round springform cake pan with baking paper and set aside. Place eggs into mixing bowl and beat until the mixture triples in volume. Spoon Nutella into a medium glass bowl and microwave for 15-20 seconds until it is soft. Spoon one third of the egg mixture and fold using a metal spoon to mix in Nutella until entirely combined. Continue with another third of egg mixture and then again until all the egg and Nutella is combined.

Spoon mixture into cake pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a skewer placed into the centre comes out clean. Cool cake in pan entirely, before removing from pan. Slice and serve with ice cream of your choice. We love the version made of oat milk and real vanilla!

How to make some money from your home sofa?

The best way to spend a rainy day is to earn cash from the comfort of your own home. Take the clothes which you never use, make sure they are clean and grab a camera. It’s time to have short photoshoot. Take a mirror selfie wearing an item or use a hanger to get a good photo or two. Upload those photos to the Zadaa app, set a price and select the delivery method which suits you best; shipping a package or meeting face to face. We’ll find a buyer for your old clothes and you can focus on that chocolate cake. A good deal, right?
